CogSec was founded in 2021 by Garrett Shields as an independent firm with the express purpose of delivering timely scientific study fused with timeless defensive doctrine in order to protect the intelligence and autonomy of individuals and organizations alike. Garrett holds a master’s degree in psychology and has worked professionally in research, analytics, and consulting roles for more than 8 years. From an early age, he was inspired to cognitive security through works such as Thinking, Fast and Slow and The Art of War.
